How do I sign up
for Book Me Online?

Go to www.bookmeonlineuk.com/NewUserDetails.asp
and complete the form.
Please Note: All
form fields are required at this stage but can be changed
in the admin screen later on.
User Name:
Your user name is what you will use to sign-in to Book Me
Online.
Info: This can be anything
you like as long as another user has not already selected
it.
Password:
Enter your chosen password.
Please Note: Never disclose
your password to anyone. It should ideally be a combination
of letters and numbers so it cannot be guessed by anyone.
First Name:
Enter your first name.
Last Name:
Enter your last name.
Address:
Enter your full address.
Info: This will assist Book
Me Online in matching your needs to local service providers
in your area.
Postcode:
Enter your full postcode.
Tel:
Please enter you telephone number.
Info: This is required so companies
that you book appointments with can contact your directly
if required.
Mobile:
Please enter your mobile telephone number.
Please Note: Book Me Online
utilises advanced SMS technology enabling information to
be sent directly to your mobile phone. If a supplier has
to cancel a lesson or wants to notify you of an upcoming
available timeslot Text Notify will notify you immediately.
Email:
All bookings and cancellations are confirmed via email as
a fail-safe system.
Please Note: Ensure you enter a valid email address. You
will be sent a validation code to your email address before
your account become sactive.

What is account validation?

Account validation is a security measure to
ensure all email addresses are valid and live. This prevents
users from creating fraudulent accounts that create unnecessary
demands on the system.
Once your account has been created you will
be sent an email with your validation code. Please enter
your validation code in the next screen, which will ask
for your username and validation code.Your account will
not be accessible until you have validated your account.
Once this step is completed, your account is configured
and you are logged on to Book Me Online.

to Book Me Online?

Log onto to Book Me Online by going to www.bookmeonlineuk.com/signin.asp,enter
your Username and Password and click Go.
How do I find a service/Company?

Select A Company
There are three ways to select a company to book an appointment.
1. Select an Area/Location
2. Search by company
3. Search by description
Search By Area of Cover
To view a list of driving schools in your
area, simply select the county you are in, then select the
postal town from
the list. You will be displayed a number of schools within
your area.
Search By Company
If you know the company name you are looking for, enter
the company name in the Company text box and click on Go.
This will display any companies matching your selection.
Search By Description
To search for any text that exists in the description of
all the companies on Book Me Online, simply enter the words
you are looking for and click on Go.
You will be displayed a list of companies who match any
or all of the words entered.
Select a company from the list to view their details and
available services
How do I select
a Service? ^top
Once you have selected the company you are
interested in, you will be given a list of Services that
are available for booking.
Select the booking you are interested in and
click the Book Me button.
How do I select a Date/Time?

Once you have selected the company and product
you are interested in and have clicked on Book Me, you will
see the diary for the selected company. Use the left hand
calendar to navigate to the date you are looking for and
review the available times. Once you have found a suitable
available time, click on the Book Me link next to the time.
How do I book
an appointment?

Once you have selected your date and time
you will then see the booking form.
The service you chose is selected for you, as is the start
time of the appointment. Select End Time from the drop-down
box.
Info: You will only be given time up to the next booked
appointment to prevent double bookings.
In some cases, there may be some additional
information required by the company. Complete the requested
fields and enter any comments you may have in the Notes
field. Once completed, click on the Book Now button. This
will validate your appointment and inform you if the booking
has been successful or not.
Assuming your appointment is successful, it
will be added directly to the company's diary, to ensure
nobody else can book that time-slot.
Info: A text message and an
email will be sent to the company, and an email confirmation
will be sent to you.
Booking Errors:
These potential scenarios can cause errors and prevent you
from booking a particular time slot.
1. Appointment end time is the same as appointment start
time.
a. All appointment duration must be greater than zero, if
you see this warning, increase the end time of the appointment.
2. Appointment is less than (x) hours.
a. Most services will have a minimum duration. If the duration
of your appointment is less that the time specified, you
will see this warning. To correct this issue, enter an end
time which increases the duration to greater than the minimum.
3. Appointment is greater than (x) hours.
a. Similar to point 2 above but the appointment has exceeded
the maximum appointment time. To correct this issue, enter
an end time that decreases the duration to less than the
maximum.
How do I find a
previously booked appointment?

To view previously made bookings, simply follow
the instructions on how to Log On and select Your Bookings
from your Control Panel.
This will display a complete list of
all bookings made for the past and the future.
Info: The
latest date will be at the top of the list.
To view the appointment, click on View next to the relevant
appointment.
How do I Cancel
an appointment?

To cancel an appointment, find the appointment
(see View/Find Bookings)
and click on the Cancel Appointment link next to the appointment.
Please Note: Be very careful
as once you cancel an appointment, it deletes the record
from Book Me Online.
Info: A text and email will
be sent to the company and an email confirmation sent to
you.
How do I update
my personal details?

To update your personal details, simply click
on Your Details from the Control Panel and change the relevant
details. Click on update details to save the changes.
How do I review
a company/service I have recently attended?

Once you have used a sellers service, we encourage
you to provide feedback on the company and service you have
purchased. This helps other users make an informed choice
when deciding which company and / or service to book
Select the company you have had used
and click on the Write Review link.
Select a rating between 1 and 5, 1 being bad
and 5 excellent, and then add you review. Click on create
review and your feedback will be added to Book Me Online.
What happens if
I am not satisfied with a customers service?

Unfortunately Book Me Online cannot get
involved with disputes with service providers. We have not
control over the level of service offered or terms and conditions
agreed between you and the customer. Please discuss any problems
you have directly with the company involved and also send
us an email.
Please Note: If
we receive 5 complaints about any one company, we will investigate
and consider removing them from Book Me Online. We make every
effort to ensure all companies are of the highest quality
and offer good customer service, but we can offer no guarantee.
Please feel free to add
your review of each company you use to help others find
the best companies for their needs.
How do I book a recurring appointment?

At present Book Me Online does
not support recurring appointments. We are currently looking
into this as an addition to the service and will keep you
all informed of our progress.

How do I sign up my company for Book Me

Click on the New Company Sign Up link at the
bottom of any page and complete the new company form.
NB: All form fields are required at this stage
but can be changed in the admin screen later on.
Company Name:
Enter your company name as you would like it to be displayed
on Book Me Online.
Please Note:You cannot change
your company name once you have created your account so
please ensure you enter you company name correctly.
User Name:
Your user name is what you will use to sign-in to Book Me
Online.
Info: This can be anything
you like as long asas another user has not already selected
it. Your user name will be assigned to your company and
used to administer your company and book appointments.
Password:
Enter your chosen password. Never disclose your password
to anyone.
Please Note: It should ideally
be a combination of letters and numbers so it cannot be
guessed by anyone.
First Name:
Enter your first name.
Last Name:
Enter your last name.
Address:
Enter your
business address. This is important as your customers may
search for you absed on your address
Tel:
Please enter your
telephone number.
Mobile:
Please enter your mobile phone number.
Please Note: This is a key element of the system,
as it will send you automatic text messages every time an
appointment is booked for you online.
Email:
You need to enter a valid email address so we can validate
your account.
Info: You will also be sent
an email every time an appointment is booked for you.
Text Notify:
Please select yes or no to receive an automatic text message
every time an appointment is booked for you.
Info: Text Notify
is a proprietary system, which enables you to be notified
of any appointments booked for you through Book Me Online.
You no longer have to rely on checking your emails or answering
your phone if you are busy as Book Me Online takes care
of this for you.
Please Note: Every text sent
through Book Me Online is charged at 12 pence per text.
Area Covered:
Each
Driving School can select unlimited areas that are covered.
During the set-up process you select one area, then once you
confimr your account you can create as many areas as possible.
You are unable to create areas per instructor.
It is recomeneded that you create a new company for each
instructor who covers a specific area.
Description:
Enter a detailed description of your business.
Please Note: Be as
specific as possible and use recognised terms and descriptions
as Book Me Online provides a search facility to find keywords
from companies' descriptions.
Info: You can
enhance your description by incorporating the following
HTML element.

that starts a new paragraph.

Nothing! Book Me Online is
dedicated to providing a free services to all driving instructors and pupils
alike. The only additional cost is 12pence per text message sent via
Text Notify.
How Do I Change My Company Information?

Simply click on the Company Setup link on
your control panel. This will display a list of configuration
options. Click on Update Company Details. Amend the necessary
details and click on Update Company. This will save any
changes made.
Please Note: You
are unable to change your company name or user name.
How Do I Add/Edit My Services?

When you initially create your company account
you will not have any services set up. You must create a
service to enable your customers to use your company on
Book Me Online.
Info: There is no limit to how
many services you can create.
To create a new Service, click on the Company
Setup link on your control panel, then Add New Service link
Service Name:
Enter a relevant name for your service offered.
Price Per Hour:
Enter the price per hour that you charge for this service.
Info: Book me online will automatically
calculate a minute cost to ensure that all part hours are
charged at the correct amount.
Minimum Duration:
Enter the Minimum Duration you are willing to sell your
services for. If it takes a minimum of two hours for a lesson
then enter 2 into the minimum duration field. If there is
no minimum duration enter 0.
Maximum Duration:
Similar to Minimum Duration but ensures that your customers
cannot book an appointment longer that you are offering.
If there is no maximum, enter 24 in to the Maximum Duration
field.
Active:
You are not able to delete services. If you wish to stop
offering a service within book Me Online then select No
in the Active field.
Additional Options:
If you need to collect specific information from your customer
concerning a particular service then enter the details in
the Additional Options fields.
Active:
To show an additional option when a customer is booking
this service, ensure the Active field is Yes.
Label: The label is the text the customer
will see next to the input box.
i.e. Are you on any medication?
Info: You can
have up to 5 additional options for each service.
Click on Add Service to create the new
service.
To edit an existing service click on
the Edit Service link, next to the service you wish to edit.
Amend the details and click on the Update button to save
your changes.
How Do I let my Customers know what hours
I am available?

By default Book Me Online sets your working
hours to 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Sunday
To change your working hours, click on the
Company Setup link on your control panel, then the Update
Available Hours link
Your available hours are the times displayed
within Book Me Online, which your customers can access and
book your time.
To change the hours of any day, simply select
the Start Time and End Time from the drop down box for each
day of the week and click on the Update Opening Hours button.
Please Note: If
you do not work on a particular day of the week then select
the Start Time as 9:00am and the End Time as 9:00am. This
will show your time as unavailable for that day of the week.
What if I am away from my PC?

Book Me Online includes a revolutionary system
called Text Notify which will send you a text message any
time an appointment is booked or cancelled online. This
enables you to focus on your business while Book Me Online
takes care of all your bookings and notifies you when you
are receiving more business.
Info: You will also be sent
a confirmation email detailing the booking details
Please Note: It
is critical to the success of your use of Book Me Online
that all your bookings are online as soon as possible. This
prevents double booking as a time may look available online,
when in fact it is booked.
What is Text Notify?

Text Notify is a process that automatically
sends a text (SMS) message to your mobile phone, everytime
an appointment is booked for your company.
Please Note: There
is a 12 pence charge per text message. This just covers
our cost of using the mobile network.
Text Notify is an optional service, but a
very valuable one.
How much does Text Notify cost?

network.
How do I cancel my subscription?

Simply send an email to admin@bookmeonlineuk.com
detailing your company details and we will cancel your company
account. This will involve deleting all your records. If
you require we can send you a copy in an Excel spreadsheet.
